A dog sitter checklist
Dogs thrive on routine. The more of yours you write down, the less your dog will notice you're gone.
- Meals: brand, exact amount, times, and any toppers.
- Walks: how many, how long, favorite route, and leash behavior (pulls? reactive to other dogs?).
- Potty signals: what your dog does when they need to go out.
- House rules: allowed on the couch? Crated at night? Where they sleep.
- Escape risks: door dashing, fence gaps, gate latches.
- Meds and supplements: dose, time, and the trick to getting them down.
- Vet: regular vet, nearest 24-hour emergency vet, and how much you'll authorize.
- Toxic foods: remind sitters that chocolate, grapes, raisins, xylitol and onions are dangerous for dogs.
Make the handoff easy
Print the sheet for the fridge and text your sitter the phone link, so the instructions go with them on walks. If your dog has a big personality, put the “quirks” box to good use — it's the part sitters thank you for.
Questions
Can I include multiple dogs?
The free version prints one pet; the Full Kit prints as many as you have.
Can my sitter see it on their phone?
Yes — tap “Copy phone link” and text it. It opens as a clean, readable page.
